Example molar with completed root canal

Simple, one appointment root canals!

Does that sound like a contradiction?

In the past few years, advances in the way root canals can be treated have led to a simple, effective, and predictable means of performing root canals. Gone are the days of two or even three long appointments. Most endodontic procedures in our office are completed within 20-30 minutes.

By utilizing modern techniques, we are able to consistently and comfortably achieve quality results.

After a tooth has had a root canal procedure done, the tooth becomes weakened and brittle. On back teeth where most of the heavy forces of chewing are, these teeth tend to break. As soon as possible after having a root canal procedure done on a back tooth, we recommend a full coverage restoration such as a crown to protect it from breaking.

What is a root canal and why do people need them?

  • trauma to a tooth,

  • a large cavity,

  • infection,

  • hypersensitivity, etc.

Treating a tooth with a root canal involves removing the decayed portion of tooth, removing the nerve tissue inside the tooth, cleaning the root canal spaces, and filling the roots.
